Cline Halloween Dinner 10-27-13

Jax trying to laugh

Jax has been progressing so much these past 2 weeks or so. The last couple of days he has been trying to laugh. He will laugh once and stop and will sometimes turn into a cry. I think he just knows how to make the sound and cry so that is why he does it. This is one thing that Shaileen and I have been looking forward to so much. We don't want him to grow up. However, at the same time we want to hear his voice!

Jax and his Jumping Jack Bouncer

Jax loves his jumping jack bouncer. We forgot that we bought it at a yard sale about a year and a half ago. We put it up in the doorway between the office and the front room. It is fun because Dad can get some work done and Jax just loves it.

Jax's First Time Eating Cereal

Over the past couple days Jax has been acting like he just cannot get enough formula and is crying after we feed him because he wants more. We increased his formula by a little bit and he was still so upset. Finally Shaileen and I decided to look online to determine when most babies are ready to eat rice cereal. After reading we determined that Jax was ready because he was showing all the signs of being ready. I have been hesitant to feed him because I have heard it is messy and a pain. I couldn't have been more wrong. Jax absolutely loved the rice cereal and ate it a ton better than expected. We took video posted below of him eating. He was a champ but was mad when he was done. He just wanted more. So we fed him the formula you're supposed to after rice cereal and he was dead asleep immediatly after. We could tell that is what he wanted. It is insane that he is growing up so fast. Time just needs to slow down!

PS. Dont judge the dirtiness in the background of the pictures and video. We were in the middle of folding laundry.

Pumpkin Carving 2013

Its that time of the year again. When I say that I mean it is time to carve pumpkins for Halloween. While I was at work today Shaileen drove to Walmart and picked up the pumpkins. She bought 4 of them. I must say that she did a pretty good job picking them out too. There was one for me, Shaileen, Jax and a family one. We had a blast. Jax was having a good time until he decided that it was time to eat and fall asleep.

Superman Swaddle Sleep

While Shaileen was changing Jax's diaper last night he struck this pose. We thought he looked just like superman with his burp rag looking like a cape and in the superman pose. Such a little stud.

Since Jax was born we have put him to sleep being swaddled. We want to get him to be used to not being swaddled so we are going to take one arm out at a time and hopefully soon be able to put him to sleep not being swaddled. He has been such a great sleeper. He usually sleeps at least 8 hours but 2 nights ago he slept 11 hours. Jax just loves his sleep. He always wakes up so happy and full of smiles. I just hope that he keeps it up and sleeps good always. Wish us luck changing where he is not swaddled.

Geocaching and Milk Shakes

We decided to go geocaching as a family last night. I made a neat geocache that it going to be a little tougher to find. I don't want to give it away what it is so I will just show the photos of us hiding it. It was perfect weather and Jax was loving being outside as usual. After being out for an hour and a half or so we stopped at Kravers to get some milk shakes and cheese fries. It was a little date night as a family to get us out of the house. I am just so happy to have Shaileen and Jax. They make my life so much better.

Wheeler Farm Trip

Yesterday while I was at work Shaileen went to Wheeler Farm with her step sisters and their children. They intended to go to the pumpkin patch but they wanted to charge $10 a person to get in. They decided against it and just walked around and saw the animals. There was a goat that really liked Jax. Shaileen said that he tried to eat his face. We just love that Jax enjoys being outside. He always gets the biggest smiles when you walk outside with him.

3 months old

Jax turned 3 months old yesterday! Where does time go. It seemed like yesterday we were sitting in the hospital waiting for him to be born. He may just be the cutest little boy ever. Over this past week he has found his hands and is always playing with them and sticking them in his mouth. He also loves watching tv. In one of the pictures below he was about ready to break his neck off to turn his head to watch the tv. With how much joy he has brought our family over the past 3 months it is crazy to think what we have coming still. Like I always say, we are so proud of him for progressing so well and being so strong. Keep it up kid!

Growth Charts

This shows where Jax is on the chart. The regular curves on the chart show where most babies are but Jax is even below those. The doctor said that he is just small but is as healthy as can be. Jax is just on his own curve and as long as he keeps growing which he certainly is he will be just fine.

We are so proud of Jax for already growing and being such a strong little boy. We would have never thought he was going to be as healthy as he is. From being born early and him being as small as he is everyone that sees him always says how well he is doing. Keep it up Jax!
