Jax trying to laugh

Jax has been progressing so much these past 2 weeks or so. The last couple of days he has been trying to laugh. He will laugh once and stop and will sometimes turn into a cry. I think he just knows how to make the sound and cry so that is why he does it. This is one thing that Shaileen and I have been looking forward to so much. We don't want him to grow up. However, at the same time we want to hear his voice!

 

He is out of newborn diapers

Jax is officially out of newborn diapers. Crazy thing is he is over two months old now and just barely out of them. I think Jax knew we were about out of newborn diapers. To us it seems like he is growin so fast but in reality he is still tiny! 

Geocaching with Jax

Jax and I went on a long walk today to find some geocaches in our neighborhood. We walked about 2-3 miles and found 2 of them. It is so much fun to just get out of the house. Jax was being kind of fussy but as soon as we stepped outside he did not make one sound during our  whole walk. As soon as we walked back inside he started fussing again. I think he is trying to get me back into shape. If you have never been geocaching before I would definitely recommend it. It is pretty much a treasure hunt around the world. 

Sick Jax boy

Yesterday Jax got really sick again out of no where. It was kind if weird and so sad. We are not sure what it is. If it does not get a bit better by tomorrow we will take him to the doctor then. He has a real raspy cry but is not coughing, doesn't seem to have an ear ache, and is eating perfectly. I just hate seeing my little buddy sad. Hope he gets better quickly. 

Jax's Newborn Photos

I thought I posted photos on this blog about Jax's newborn session Shaileen told me that I needed to get on it. How could I forget these incredible photos. I will let the photos do the talking. Dad and Jax alone time

This past Wednesday Shaileen started back to work so we meet in the parking lot everyday and switch Jax cars and kiss and she starts working almost immediately when I get off. It was tough for Shaileen to go back but the cool thing is I get to spend 8 hours a day with Jax alone several days a week. There are not too many Dad's that get that opportunity I don't think. I am trying to take this opportunity with being with him and cherish every second. Even though sometimes I think Jax is crying just for Mom. :) 

Today Shaileen came in about 30 minutes early and got the ok to just bring Jax and have him with her while she worked until I got off work to take him. Both Shaileen, myself and Grandpa Evan work there. We may as well get him started early because in about 18 years he will probably start working there as well. 

Jax sat in the Bumbo surprisingly for a while while I folded some laundry. I would have never guessed that he would have sat that well. I think it is because he is so short that the middle of his neck sits at the top of the Bumbo still.

Two day ago this is how he fell asleep on me. How cute is this. 

Today he threw up all over his clothes so I had him sit naked all night. This photo makes him look like such a chub-a-lub

As you can tell, I am one proud Dad. Can ya blame me?

Jax's first time swimming

This past weekend we went out of town to Eden, Utah and stayed at the Wolfcreek Condos. A seperate blog will be coming later with more photos and stories later. I just could not wait to post this video of Jax going swimming for the very first time. The swimming suit was a bit big so we had to roll the top over to make it fit a bit better. Jax absolutely loved swimming. In the video below you will see that he cried for about 10 seconds but then was perfectly fine after that. I think he cried only because it was a little chilly. He stayed in the pool for about 10 minutes and then I took him out and put him in a towel and he zonked out and slept so soundly. We were so happy that he liked the pool so much and can't wait to take him back to another pool in the future.

Jax's Nursery is FINISHED!!!!!

So I finally have finished Jax's nursery!!! It turned out AMAZING!

Jax almost in newborn clothes

Jax is growing up so dang quick! He is putting on some good chub but from this picture you can tell he is still way short. he is about 2-3 inches longer than when he was born and about 1 lb larger as well. 1 lb doesnt sound like much but thy would be like me Gaining 75 lbs. These are newborn clothes and they still drown him. We are such proud parents with how healthy and active out little Jax has been. One thing Jax, mom and dad just do not want you growing up too quick.
