Pumpkin Carving 2013
Its that time of the year again. When I say that I mean it is time to carve pumpkins for Halloween. While I was at work today Shaileen drove to Walmart and picked up the pumpkins. She bought 4 of them. I must say that she did a pretty good job picking them out too. There was one for me, Shaileen, Jax and a family one. We had a blast. Jax was having a good time until he decided that it was time to eat and fall asleep.

Jax's first rainy BYU game
This past Saturday we went to the BYU game. Before we left we didn't think it would be that bad of weather because it said 30% chance of rain. 30% my eye, that weather man was full of bologna. It was terrible weather. Luckily it cleared up after two hours and the game was on. We brought Jax with us. Initially we were scared but the weather ended up being just perfect. To begin with he was in a wrap while he was sleeping but woke up pretty quick and wanted to enjoy the game. The football game was incredible. Everybody was not expecting much out of BYU because they played terrible the week before. They came out ready to play however and killed Texas 40-21. During the game Jax got a little fussy for a while, so Shaileen took him out into the concourse to calm him down. Luckily we have isle seats this year so it was nice when BYU scored a touchdown because Shaileen would run up and give me a high 5. Can't hardly wait another 2 weeks until their next game when BYU plays Utah. Should be a fun game.

Jax's first BYU experience
Today was BYU's scrimmage so we decided Jax should start out early and get used to BYU games early. It was quite hot for him but he seemed to love it. Bringing Jax to football games is something I have always looked forward to and it has finally came true. I love this dude more than you would ever know.

Basketball & Ikea
If you know anything about us we live BYU and Ikea! Thanks to my parents we were able to go to the BYU basketball game at Energy Solutions Arena. It was a blast especially since BYU came ready to play and beat Virginia Tech 97-71! We hadn't been to a game all year so far but look forward to going to more in the future. After the amazing win we needed to get a few things from the store for our house so we drove out to Ikea in Draper. We got a new area rug for our basement as well as some new Tupperware like stuff. The funny thing about it is we did not get a single thing we were going for. I guess that is what happens when we go to there!

Last BYU home game of the season!
Last night was the last BYU home football game of the season. It was freezing and one late game. Because of how late and how cold it was the university didn't even wipe the benches off half of the stadium. And the ones they did there was snow in the isles so people were slipping everywhere! You can see a photo below of what I mean! Good thing is it was an absolute blow out! Will will for sure get season tickets next year to cheer in our team! GO COUGARS

On Sunday Kurt and I just watched the morning session of Conference together!! Right after the morning session we went on a little min road trip with my Dad, Cindy, and Carlye. We drove to Fairfield, UT where my dad lived for the first 11 years of his life. He grew up on a 40 thousand acre ranch there. We walked around the town Cedar Fort as well, that is where his church and Elementary school were. It was AWESOME listening to his storied of growing up. I videotaped the whole thing and there will be a later post on that!!
That night we then got together at Taylorsville Park with my mom and Greg and most of the kids for our Sunday dinner. We had sub sandwiches and other yummy salads and goodies!! It was a fun night!
What a great weekend!! (Sorry I know its a LONG post!!!)
