Family Dinner Fun

Family Dinner fun video!

Cleaning Grandmas yard.

For my Grandma's birthday this year the family got together this past Saturday and cleaned up her yard. We pulled and cut the flowers down, raked, mowed, cut trees and more. It was fun to spend time with the family but even more fun to serve. I love my grandma and even love more spending time with her.

NEW PASS ALONG CARDS

WE GOT NEW PICTURES TAKEN FOR OUR ADOPTION PROFILE BECAUSE THE OLD ONES WERE SO OUT DATED. WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE GOOD TO GET NEW PASS ALONG CARDS TOO! LIKE ALWAYS, WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONITINUED SUPPORT!

Church party with nephews

On Saturday night we watched 2 of my nephews. It was a blast. Our ward had their annual harvest festival which is a big party. It was so much fun watching Shaileen with the boys. She is going to be the best Mom when we are chosen to adopt. Alex and DJ absolutely love her as you can see in the photo of her reading with them. I love Shaileen more and more every day.

Best present

I have to take a moment and thank everyone for their continued support in our adoption to build and find our family. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that we have the absolute best family and friends and even strangers that are willing to help us. As many of you have probably received from us we have pass-a-long cards with our information. Recently there have been a couple people that we know of that have passed them out to others for us. That is such an incredible selfless gift that we are so thankful for. We know that our child is out there somewhere and we need to find them. If you want some pass-a-long cards please let us know. Again thank you for all you do!

You can see an example of our pass a long card on the right side if this bar. If you click on it it will take you to our adoption profile on itsaboutlove.com !

On Sunday Kurt and I just watched the morning session of Conference together!! Right after the morning session we went on a little min road trip with my Dad, Cindy, and Carlye. We drove to Fairfield, UT where my dad lived for the first 11 years of his life. He grew up on a 40 thousand acre ranch there. We walked around the town Cedar Fort as well, that is where his church and Elementary school were. It was AWESOME listening to his storied of growing up. I videotaped the whole thing and there will be a later post on that!!

That night we then got together at Taylorsville Park with my mom and Greg and most of the kids for our Sunday dinner. We had sub sandwiches and other yummy salads and goodies!! It was a fun night!

What a great weekend!! (Sorry I know its a LONG post!!!)

Sawyer Relapse

So I had what I'm calling my "Sawyer relapse" last night. The talk in the morning session yesterday about the loss of a child got me thinking. I know he didn't die BUT we sure lost him. All day I thought about him but as soon as I got in bed I lost it. I haven't cried that hard since the day after. I cried straight for three hours... I could not stop. I don't know what came over me. I kept waking Kurt up so I decided I wanted to go sit in the baby room. I sat and looked through the photo album and cuddled with his teddy. I pondered the events that led up to the failed placement to see if I could figure out if there were any signs before that dreaded call that she was changing her mind. I can truly say that on our end we never saw any reservation from her. She never showed doubt to us... If anything every time we were together, even the days in the hospital, she did nothing but reassure us. I still have a hard time wrapping my brain around the whole thing. Kurt and I know that we were meant to be Sawyer's parents... Even though it was only for 3 days. I cherish every moment I was able to spend with him and miss him everyday. I can't wait for the day Kurt and I will become parents. It sure is hard waiting on the Lord's time. I also want Kurt to know how much I live and adore him and that my life would not be complete without him.
Thank you to everyone who gas helped us through this failed adoption journey. It is the hardest road I think I will ever travel... I'm just grateful we have all of you to help us along the way.

Craft Night and Football With Some of Our Best Friends!!

Last night two of our best friends came over last night to hang out!!
We love it when Brady and Lauren come over with their two precious little girls! We had so much fun!! We started the night by eating some yummy dinner together and then we let little miss Olivia go out to the garden to pick pumpkins for the family... she had a blast!

We then went downstairs and started crafting away!! I painted a cute frame to go in my living room and Lauren is making the word HOME and the "O"
is interchangeable every month with a cute holiday item!

Brady and Kurt sat and watched the Utah vs USC game and kept the
girls busy for us! What great guys!!

Kurt is going to be the best daddy EVER one day... you can just see it in this picture. He sat and read book after book after book with sweet little Olivia.
Pretty much the sweetest thing I have ever seen!

Don't ask me why or what made her think of it but Lauren decided it would be AWESOME if we painted on mustaches!! They turned out pretty epic if I do say so myself!! That's right... when we get together it gets a little crazy!! LOL

I came upstairs to find this cuteness!! Lauren, Brady, and miss Olivia had a little fun with the IPad!! Turned out pretty cute!!

Here is our finished products!! Lauren's above and mine below! They turned out great I think!! Hard work, Fun, and time with friends ALWAYS pays off!!

I just want to say that through all of the CRAP Kurt and I have been through in the last few months we are sure grateful for our amazing friends!! We are always having people come by and calling us just to check on how we are doing. We are so blessed with some of the best friends in the world!
