Hot Tub & Rats

We decided that we did not want our hot tub anymore so we put it up on KS L for free. This guy called and came and got it today!

He had a huge forklift which really helped

It looks so much better with out it in our back yard!

It was a tight fit through the side of our house.

See ya!

We are so happy to have it outta there. We are going to be planting grass there
We pulled up the plywood after we were done and we found two rats that were dead! It was pretty gross...

Professional Critique of my Work

Back on 5/15/2011 I had a pretty awesome day! As many of you know I have a real love for photography. There is this photographer from Scotland that I follow on Youtube. I sent him a request to critique my work. I was pleased that he did as he sometimes takes over a year to critique peoples work and only took about 2 months to do mine. Check out the video. My work starts at about the 8:00 mark in the video!

What an awesome day!

Tooele Time

Lately I have been better about taking my "nice" camera with me places. It just looks much better than using instagram. Anyways, this past Sunday was the Cline monthly family dinner and boy did we have a fun time. We drove out to Tooele which is where Janica lives. It was a nice drive out there. I was playing a game driving out there to see how many MPG I could get in the car! I was impressed that I was able to get up to 41.7! Janica made some excellent breaded chicken. After we were talking and I was kicking the ball over the fence to the girls on the other side seeing how high and far we could kick it. We really enjoy getting together with the family. I especially enjoy being able to photograph my family and the kids. I can't wait for the day we have our own child and I am able to play and take photos of them growing up!

Love this photo of my grandma... so simple but good!
put em up!

Fun at Trafalga

Yesterday after work we were watching Carlye because Scott and Cindy were going to a dinner for her work! We went to Carlye's softball game! Since Scott was gone I was coaching. It was a real fun experience and nice because one day when we have kids I am definately going to be coaching one day by myself in the future! Later, after softball, we drove down to Orem to go to Trafalga again. It is so much fun and even better because we bought the pass of all passes and it's included in it. We did batting cages as well as mini golf in the dark outside. We had a blast. After playing in the arcade for a while we got our prizes and got these little mustaches! They were fun to wear around and just be silly! On the way home Shaileen and I were jamming out to some music and we turned around and Carlye was passed out! It was a very eventful day as you can tell from the pictures below!

Dumb Car Salesmen!

We had the pleasure last night of going to purchase a new car! YAY! Right after work we drove out to Larry H Miller at the AutoMall in Sandy. We thought they would have 1-3 Hyundai Sonatas which was the car that we wanted and have test driven them several times. We got out there and they had a ton of them. I would guess and say there were probably 12-15. We were going out with the intent to buy a blue or silver one with a dark interior but when we showed up we really liked the dark charcoal color. We jumped in the car and took it for a quick test drive. After going inside and talking about the "numbers" we came to an agreement that suited both parties, and even traded in our 2007 Dodge Calibur with it (we lucked out with some equity also). During this time we were talking to the car salesman and ensured that he would fill up the gas tank and the car would be detailed before we would leave. After we got out of the financial office he came up to us and said that he didnt notice that there was another car in the detail office and would be in there for another 45 minutes or so. We had two options, we could either leave and come back another day for the detailing or wait. We opted to leave and come back or I would just clean it on my own. Then, he handed me a coupon and said that he did not have "time" to go fill up the car and I could just do it on the way out. I was cool with that and said that I would do that. When i get to the gas station i take the coupon in and it was good for $15. I fill it up but when I get back in the car it only filled it up half of the way. I think to myself, "he must have thought it was fuller than it was". I drive back to say that the $15 only filled it up half way and he said that he would fill it up. He then proceeds to tell me that he said that, "I will put some gas in it." I said NO you said that you will fill it up. He then said there is nothing I can do. I told him that he will fill it up or I would be returning the car now and he better go get approval for it! After bickering back and forth for a minute he came back out with another $15. I explained that it is going to only fill up 3/4 of the way. He said that I would have to go fill it up and then come back for another $15. UGH... sooooooooo frustrating! I love how the salesmen are all nice and do what you want until you sign the papers. Nevertheless, we love our car and look forward to having it until it dies! (which better be a very long time) I have not been able to take a good picture yet but here is a stock picture of what we got!

Anniversary

Today is our 3 year anniversary and I just have to say that it has been the best 3 years of life so far, but look forward to so many more to come! I have been so lucky to have Shaileen in my life because she keeps me grounded and helps me be the man and future father that I really want to be! Lots of people say that the first year or even couple of years are the hardest of the marriage. I certainly hope that is true because it is a walk in the park when you are married to your best friend and can literally spend every waking second with her. We have definately gone through some tough times during our adoption process but these tough trials have made us stronger. I believe that when it comes time we will definately be better parents because of it. Shaileen, I love you and look forward to spending not only this life but eternity with you!

Easter was great this year! We went went to church in the morning and then went on a nice little drive for about 2 hours or so! We then went over to Shaileen's Dad's house (is it legal to do a double possessive?) and had an easter egg hunt! As you can see we had a great time.

There is a funny story with this photo. I always tease Carlye and say that she smells like cheese just as a little joke. She got the clever idea to color an egg the night before that "Kurt smells like toilet poison." I was laughing hard when she showed me! She is just getting too dang clever for her own good.

Softball and Soccer 4/4/12

We had a fun eventful Wednesday night. Shaileen's Dad and I went and coached Carlye's softball team. It was a bunch of fun showing little girls the little things they can do to become just a schmidgen (that is a word made up by me) better. We unfortunately lost 6-1 but that doesn't matter. All that matters is that they had a fun time. That night we also had Real Salt Lake soccer tickets. Shaileen, Tristen and Nelson went to the game on time and we met up with them at half time. It was a fun game. I put a little video together that you can see below!

Weekend of 3/30/12

This past weekend was very nice and relaxing. It was General Conference weekend. It was a little different than usual because usually we sit around at home and either watch Conference on TV or listen to it as we are doing housework. This weekend was different because unfortunately we spent it at the hospital. I wont lie though, it was kind of nice because I did not have any distractions while listening to conference which is not usual. I had the headphones in the iPad streaming through BYUTV and was taking notes on my iPhone.

Here Shaileen is trying to listen to conference while acting as a great daughter doing what she could to take care of her Mom. I could see the motherly instinct coming out. I can't wait for the day we are Chosen so she is able to use her motherly attributes for all to see.

Can't complain about the view either.

When we got home we remembered that my sister and her husband left on a cruise so my parents were watching their 2 boys (DJ and Alex). We decided to "facetime" them to see if they were home. DJ and my Mom answered and I had to take a screenshot of this because this is DJ making funny faces at us.

We went over and decided to make eggsnests to eat. They are yummy for my tummy. They are cooked in a cupcake pan. You put hashbrowns in the bottom and cook them for just a bit and then crack an egg on top and put bacon and cheese on it and let it cook for longer. After we talked in the front room and as you can see DJ was enjoying it more than anyone with grandpa tickeling his back. He looked way way relaxed.

And relaxed he became! :)

We really enjoy sitting and talking to my parents. It seems as if we can sit and talk for hours and hours on end about anything. I certainly love them and am thankful to be their son and am thankful that Shaileen is able to be their daughter!

In the afternoon Shaileen and I took a much needed nap. We never take naps but we slept for about 2 hours in the middle of the day!

Later on Sunday we went over to Shaileen's Dad's house to watch conference. It was nice to sit and watch with them as well. Shaileen did a great job taking pictures this weekend as you can see most of the photos are of me which that never happens.

I am certainly thankful for General Conference and how it helps me remember the way I should be living consistentaly. Just as Bro. Uchtdorf I think said "Stop It" to the things I am doing wrong and try to be better each and everyday. I have a testimony that President Monson is our Prophet Seer and Revelator and he has been called to the position he is in at this time for a purpose. When we listen to him and follow of the teachings he prophesies we will become closer to being who we need to be so we will be able to live with Heavenly Father again!

Thank you all who follow our blog. We truely appreciate your kindness and support in everything that we do!
