Jax's Nursery is FINISHED!!!!!

So I finally have finished Jax's nursery!!! It turned out AMAZING!

Weighing Jax Unconventionally

We have to wait a full two weeks until we go back into the doctor for Jax's next check up. We noticed that he is getting a little chub mostly on his cheeks and really wanted to know how much he weighed. So as any thoughtful parent would do we decided to put him on our meat scale. The video that I posted didn't show him getting his final weight because he was moving around so much. We did finally get him to sit still though it and weighed him at 4lb 14 oz we are guessing minus the diaper with pee in it.

When Jax was able to get off oxygen

 The next day I decided to go into work because I wanted to have as much time as possible with Jax and Shaileen when we were home and not stuck in the small nursery. So, Shaileen drove in early in the morning to hang out with Jax all day in the nursery. Pretty much immediately as she got there she sent me this picture of Jax and said do you notice anything new. The nurses got him off of his oxygen! Shaileen said she was hysterically bawling her eyes out when she saw that he was off of the oxygen and even got some of the nurses crying too. We are so proud of our son already fighting so hard to not only get here but be healthy. What a stud. We were told that he would be released from the special nursery (NIY) some time that day and would be going into Sarrina's room for bonding with us as well as her. 

 

  We are the happiest people in the world!

The last time as only husband and wife

Shaileen and I showed up to the University of Utah hospital around 6:30 pm and were extremely excited because we were going to be meeting Jax very soon. It was weird to think about how these were our last minutes as just husband and wife with no children. When we would see each other next we would be a Mom and a Dad. We were both sitting down stairs in the waiting room waiting for Sarrina to call us upstairs and all of a sudden Shaileen got a text from Sarrina asking if Shaileen would be willing to be in the C-Section with her and hold her hand. Immediatly Shaileen replied to her saying that she would feel honored. We walked up stairs as fast as we could. The doctors were just giving Sarrina the epidural so they had Shaileen get the scrubs on and then I went off to the waiting room. Before we left each other we kissed and said next time we see each other we are going to be a Mom and a Dad.
