We had our monthly dinner with my side of the family last night! We met aty
Parents house and had a great dinner! They made chicken and steak kabobs. Mmmmmm. It is so nice to get together with family and just spend time together. My mom and dad are leaving town for Easter so they put together an Easter egg hunt for the grand kids. They loved it. U decided that I need to stop slacking and take my nice slr camera with me from now on and stop only using my phone so I can get what I want out of my photos...

Grandpa Earls Funeral Service
I am so grateful for the wonderful service that was done for my grandpa on Tuesday 1/3/12. The service was wonderful and so many wonderful things were said about my grandpa! Shaileen and I were asked to sing How Great Thou Art. We were doing real well and I even looked at my Grandma and she was smiling as big as can be. Then both Shaileen and I looked at my Dad at the exact same time and we both started crying. It made me think of how lucky I am to have the parents I do and how grateful I am as well. It made me feel a sliver of what my mom is going through this week.

There were apples everywhere because everyone called him Grandpa Apple!

Uncle Tom and Grandma
I think it was so cool to be able to see genuine smiles on my Mom's and Grandma's faces. On of my favorite photos of the day

Bret and I showing off our skinny ties. Grandpa was known for his skinny ties and so each one of us wore one in his honor. That is one thing I will certainly cherish forever!

It is very seldom that we get pictures together because I am always holding the camera! I love it!

Grandma as Taps was being played...

I have to give a special THANK YOU to the Honor Guard of the Air Force. They did a wonderful job. They certainly made the service what it was.

Everyone got balloons to let go in the air. Grandma was told to let her go first.

This is easily my favorite photo of the day. This is my uncles grave that passed away at 6 years old. I just wonder what was going through my Grandma's head. I am sure she is thinking of Grandpa and Terry just reuniting again and can't wait to do the same with them.

Grandpas ring
I put a little project together that I wanted to give my Grandmother. My Mom helped me get their wedding rings for the night and I went to work. It's usually the womans ring that is difficult to get balanced so it is standing on its own but Grandpa's ring was easily more difficult. I am greatful for Shaileen for taking pictures on her phone of me doing it because i know I will be able to look back and truely appreciate it. I put the picture through Lightroom and got the finished product. I am going to give it to grandpa this evening. Hope she enjoys it.
PS. if you see this before please make sure not to bring it up to her please, thank you

Grandma Earl
I received a call this morning while getting ready for work from my mom and dad. My grandpa was killed in a car accident early this morning as he was heading to go work at the temple! I am so thankful for the gift of eternal life and the opportunity to see him again one day! Thankfully we were able to spend time with him on Christmas! I absolutely love my grandpa. He is one of the most religious people I know and he is certainly in a happy place right now. I am truly great full for the time I have been able to spend with him throughout my life as he has always been there for me at all the sporting events, musical events, and my favorite being supporting Shaileen and me as we were married in the temple! After receiving the phone call this morning Shaileen and I were talking and we know he is going to do what he can to find a child for us and our child is going to get to know him and see how great of a man he is! There is the term rest in peace but I know that is the last thing he is going to be doing on the other side of the veil. He is going to be hard at work! Love you Grandpa Apple!
